Passenger window leaking......help?

my passenger window has a lil bit of a problem i just noticed not too long ago. the person who had it before me must have taken it out and not put it back right or something because in the upper corner of the window where its suppose to meet the weather stripping theres like 1/4" or so gap and it definitely leaks in there when it rains.......how can i go about fixing this? is it just like seated wrong or something? however it has no trouble rolling up and down at all....any input guys? Thanks

Rich

Replace the weather stripping, or the window is not fully going up.

i have bad weather stripping too... what helps is if you gently push the window away from the car when in a car wash... that usually helps

Then take the door panel off, look inside the door, and make sure everything is tight in there. Wiggle the tracks around and make sure nothing is loose. It sounds like the window isn't going all the way up.

Is the door closing all the way, and is the door aligned & closing properly?

Well if the door is closing all the way and correctly, and the weatherstripping is fine & sitting in it's place properly, then the window must not be closing all the way. It may feel like it's going up and down smoothly and properly, but if there is a worn bushing on the track, or something loose on the track inside the door, that can be enough to cause the window to no quite close completely.

Check the condition of the sliders, bushings, and the mechanism that the window goes up and down on. See if anything is worn or loose.
