rear seat removal

Well in a moment of frustration from losing, last night I decided to rip out the rear seats...well it looks like ass back there and I don't wanna spend 150 bucsk to make it look decent with a delete kit. Are there any other options?

i'm sure it's just common sense. I've never done it but it can't be that hard at all, just look at it and think about how you're gonna do it, measure a couple things...puchase supplies.
if you wanna be really cool, turn your rear seat into a wall of speakers. yeaahhh......

Get the thinnest wood you can find and do your best to draw the outline of the seats and cut away. next cover them in fabric. Then just Velcro them in place. I have it for my car, which I will be selling soon.I would sell it to you but I'm I'm ganna use it to get rid of the seats on my next car.

if you're up for it, you could make a sort of trap door in it, and have a little compartment under there for storage. like for a nitrous bottle or something.

If you have some cash to throw down on it, the aluminum rear seat deletes are 300 bucks. I'm sure you've seen them:

http://www.swautosport.com/catalog/p...d27bdc778421c9

if you wanna shave a little more weight, I got some cheap lightweight racing seats from here:
http://www.andysautosport.com/ford/1..._seats/yonaka/

it was 350 for the pair including the brackets, and I threw the factory seats on craigslist for $300 and already have people interested.

those two mods together should shave around 80 lbs max. and I would definately consider getting seats if you delete the rear seat. seams like ripping 40 lbs of weight out right on top of the tires and having the extra weight of the factory seats up front isn't a very good weight ratio.

I hear ya, cars cost too much money

if you can manage to save the money though, it will be worth it in the end. it's one of the best ways to shave weight.
