i want a cam!! i was just wondering what kind of cam u guy think would b best for me? i obviously dont care about MPG i just want HP... i have your basic bolt ons and in the future i plan to have a procharger... links would b very helpful

dude SSMS has some deals on 3 cams
ones a 214/214 cam (turbo cam) im considering it before the tune..shit $125...thats nothing lol

im sure theres a good one there i dont remember the other grinds off memory

222/230 duration .52/.52 lift 112 lobe separation, regrind, slight wear on one lobe: $125

Will sticking a cam into my basically stock 01 sixer help me out? If so, what specs? I dont want a full on racing cam, just a little better one, and how much are installs on them?

well let me tell you the most it should be is a grand... i was quoted at $700 for the timing cover and oil pump replacement ... $450 of which was labour.. so if you add another hour on for the rockers then it should be $500 for labour and $500 for all the parts... now that is in a very pricey world... you can do some shopping and bring it down a little...

also for a cam its wisest to talk to someone who makes them for a living... their are so many aspect to a cam that you can get two that look exactley the same and do very different things to the engine
