center exit exhaust


i was wondering if it would b difficult to convert our sixers exhaust to a center exit one. i was readin a site a while ago and it said somethin bout the gas tank maybe gettin in the way...is this true? and has anyone done this to their 6?

yeah of course i would b goin wit the saleen rear bumper for the center exit also....but would the gas tank get in the way? (forgot where i read it) and would the sound change?

I hope u have a Full Saleen Conversion going on....and better say SALEEN in the rear I was gona get this off Ebay from a Saleen that was wrecked...but i changed my exhaust enough....U will also lose a lil HP as well because the flow sucks..maybe like 2 hp or 1 noting big

yeah i'll prob b doin the full conversion...i'm just wantin to get an idea on pricin so i can start savin to get it all done at once. o and should i b lookin at fiberglass, plyurethane,...etc? which is better

I doubt you'll find that center exhaust rear bumper in anything but polyurethane.

polyurethane is more durable anyway right?

yeah over fiberglass......I found the SALEEN bumper with the center exhaust kit from a Saleen on ebay it went for 350 in white...wasnt my color but i didnt care...only reason i didnt get it is because i was waiting on line for the PS3 lol so i only had so much extra money

yeah but was that a fiber or poly kit for 350 and what year stang did it go on and why have u not posted that link b/c thats a really good price... and i get the PS3 on base for $550 or somethin like that..how much u seein it online for...i could hook u up!

i sold it anyways...some guy offered me 600 for my spot..i shoulda took that shit...but me and my brother were really i nneed for money and I thought it was a smarter choice not to..since they were like 3,000 on reserve only for Ebay...but i ended up making like 100 lol

anyway so to finally answer the original question no the gas tank wont get in the way the piping goes around it and makes an extreme turn (almost 90*) towards the center.

which is why ull lose horsepower

But that far back (and im pretty sure the saleen kit is mandrail(SP?) bent) it shouldn't really matter
