porting the intakes


ok i want to and i know i can do it. but i have a newb question. when i put the gasket on the port match them dont i need a gasket thats ported with bigger cut outs? i mean thats like common sense right? or do i have to make the cut outs bigger my self? please help!!!!

you have to make em bigger your self... but its not hard... get the top and bottom ports to match then take the gasket to the bottom one... put in two bolts for guides and then take an exacto knife and clean it up

hmm how big do i go and how do i make it perfect? i would think that perfect is knida what i should strive for haha

since its only air going through their... you can do the ports and then take and extra sliver off... that say its next to the edge and not causing any turbulence... which isn't a bad thing... turbulence helps atomization...

which is good

for the porting... i honestly don't know i haven't ever done it and don't know how big you should go with that

hmmmmmm ok i wonder if any knows how much i should take off. everything i have read so far so do the gaskets then do the intakes.
