Blew up my engine and need a new one....

So anyways, after two weekes of porting and polishing my heads, and puting in a new cam and springs, i go to start up the car, it sounds like shit, goes bang, and i here fluids leaking. I look under the car and there are shreded pieces of a piston on the ground. It happened about ten mins ago so i dont know the total damage, but obviously is pretty damn bad. Im at least hoping the heads arent damaged and its only the bottom end. So im now thinking about getting a 4.2 out of a wrecked F150. Im wondering what year to get (i have a 99 mustang). Im thinking that id use the pistons and all the bottom end out of the F150 and jujst put my heads, cam and intake on it. What else would i need to make this work????? I DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO BUY A BRAND NEW ENGINE SO PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST THAT.

Oh i have no idea what i could have done wrong, i was following very detailed instructions, the only thing i thought i coulda done wrong is not tighten down all the rocker arms properly, but i doubt the would have caused this.

I'll be in WI in December to see my parents, but I doubt that you can wait that long.

No, i have about 3 weeks to get this car running. And seeing as it is my only car and i havent had it for 2 weeks already i really dont wanna wait. Cant i just get a 4.2 out of an f150, and then put my heads, intakes, and cam in that and drop it into my car and be happy?

The block is the same as the 3.8, so everything will bolt up just fine. I recommend using the newest block that you can find, the minimum will have to be a 98.
