Exhaust piping size question.

Well i'll be getting a new catless exhaust soon..with the super 44's i can't wait!! I was just wondering. What size piping is better for sound regardless of performance on our cars. I bought 2.25 inch mufflers will there be any big difference between that and 2.5 or what?

sound wise... nah not really... hardly noticable...

performance... you will see more response lower with 2.25 ... for now once you add a ton of bolt ons and step up to the game... you will see that its as restrictive as the stock once was... but if exhaust is the only thing you doing... then by all means go 2.25

so should i keep the cats on until/if i get long tubes? I heard a catless stock shortys exhaust w/ 40's didnt sound too bad. Cats just seem like it would muffle it too much for me.

I would have just gone 2.5 inch pipes, really no sound difference, and the best overall choice.
