Changed spark plugs, and found some problems.

Well the first problem, is that was the hardest engine to change spark plugs on. But seriously my spark plugs wires were not in good shape. The cups on them were bent or didn't get a good hold of my spark plugs. Also my spark plugs contacts, and nut was rusting right into my engine. So I changed my spark plugs out, and then decided it was time to upgrade those spark plug wires. Well I found these from www.v6mustangstuff.com

A "Screamin Demon Coil" and "Screamin Demon Livewires" for 94-01 v6 mustangs. I bought them today, and hopefully that will make me a much happier camper for future mods. here is a pic of the set and the description from v6mustangstuff.com

For the coil pack
Mustang V6 owners can now increase the spark intensity of the 3.8 liter ignition by installing Performance Distributors' new Screamin' Demon Coil! This is the first high performance coil available for the 1994-2001 Mustang V6 engines. The Screamin' Demon Coil is designed to produce a longer duration spark and allow plug gaps to be opened up to an astounding .060" - .065". This will burn the fuel mixture more efficiently for increased performance and better fuel mileage. This will also help spark plugs stay cleaner longer. In addition, the intensity of the Screamin' Demon's spark does not drop off as the rpm's increase, which is common with stock ignition systems. In a series of 0-60 mph tests, we improved our E.T. an average of .33 seconds over the stock ignition coil! That's performance you can feel in the seat of your Mustang V6! The Screamin' Demon Coil is epoxy filled, leading to improved heat transfer and vibration resistance. The Screamin' Demon Coil is easy to install and mounts in the original equipment location.
For the Livewires
After bolting on the Mustang V6 Screamin' Demon Coil, you'll need a set of "LiveWires" spark plug wires to deliver the hotter spark to your plugs. LiveWires come with space age, heat resistant sleeving to provide protection from exhaust heat. The sleeving is heat treated glass braid and is non-flammable and non-corrosive to chemicals. LiveWires are custom fit - no assembly is required. Each wire is numbered at each end for the correct cylinder. LiveWires have a durable and long lasting silicone jacket and insulation. Spiral wound core prevents electronic interference - no radio noise or computer interference. Available in blue, black, red, yellow & purple.
I should have a write up about them once I install them.

I'd let ya know how it turns out if it gets here. I'm getting impatient. The site doesn't give you a tracking number. Hopefully they come in Monday or Tuesday.

Also when I do get them I know I should put anti seize on the end caps for the spark plugs but what about the part that plugs into the coil pack should I put anti seize on them too?

NO! NOT ANTISEIZE!! Use dielectric grease. If it doesn't come with the wires, you can pick up a small tube at advance or autozone.

Not a large one. Like what the little description said they were .33 seconds quicker than stock. So I know I prob won't even get that much off, but hey it will be more useful for mods later down the road.

.33 is a lot faster for the e.t.- especially if they were doing a 0-60 run. Hell, my 4.10s and t lok shaved .6 off my 1/4 mile e.t.

For drag racing. I'm more into open track so .33 is not that large for me in the big run. Yea, .33 with one part off a track time is awesome, but also I'm willing to bet that I won't see those kind of times shaved with this part since most companies times almost never match customers.

Reving the engines:::

You rev the engines at the car auctions in Va and they make you leave. No crap, they have police at the auction and if you rev the engine, you are outta there.............................................

It was the day before the auction. So they let you look at the all the cars, and encouraged you to check the engines out, and do the best visual inspections possible, and allowed to rev the engines of the car. I know what happens in VA since I live here as well.

Let us know how your new coil pack and wires turn out. I have stock wires on a stock coil pack, and never considered changing it...
