Winter car opinion.....

So i live in Wisconsin and i decided i need a winter car (Not becuase of the snow, i actually blew up my engine and cant afofrd to fix it yet, but whatever) So im looking at $500 for a shitty car. Then today i found something that actually might be decent. A 92 Ford SHO with 160,000 miles for a little over $500. Its ugly as hell but has 220 horsepower out of a 3.0??????? Seems like my winter beater is going to have more power than my main car. Does anyone know if these cars are actually and good, and worth buying??? *sorry if this doesnt belong on this website, i just thought someone here could tell me about the SHOs.

Yeah the SHO is just the high performance taurus. Its decent but my friend had some problems with it...not quite sure of his mileage though.

are they front wheel drive?? i say you get one of those and totally pimp it out do all the cheap mods like repaint it redo the inside and paint the rims and what not... i think it would be fun ... i want a winter beater but don't have the money...

those cars sometimes have been beatin to hell SHO = super high output... so its technically a sports car... just really ugly

just watch out for the trannys. my cousin has one and replaced his tranny 3 times already. other than that he loves it and has bought two over the last 10 years.

buy it

SHO's are fun.

the trannys issues on them were normally from 93 and up but I believe that they still had came gear issues back then.

I just got rid of my SHO.. it was very comfortable, had plenty of power, handled well ect...ect..
I highly recommend this car for a DD

Since my mustang will not be driveable till next spring, i was wondering what i can switch over and put on the SHO since i am poor and cant afford to buy anything. Will my Longtube Headers, Hpipe, and catback fit? Will my rims and rotors and pads fit?

different chassis, engine, engine configuration. Most of the stuff won't fit. The wheels, and rotors...I dunno. Why not get the SHO as a DD, and then when you get money just put it into the stang, and make it one hell of a car.

the SHO is not a mustang man.. it's a different breed .. a different beast if anything.

My SHO would walk a 99-04 v6 mustang and some 96-98 GTs

Let the SHO be an SHO. It's a badass taurus. Think of the Cobra. The SHO is to the Taurus, as the Cobra is to the Mustang.
