heres the best help i could possibly give you right now:

if your on a tight budget im talking really tight, you should get this stuff-

-limited slip differential(aka traction lock, t-lok)
-gears(for manuals your better off with 3.73s if auto go with 4.10s assuming you dont do alot of highway miles.
-mid pipe(x or h) for exhaust
-catback exhaust system.

all that can be found for under $700-800.

if you have some more cash get all that stuff above +

-longtube headers
-cold air intake
-25% underdrive pulley
-handheld flash tuner(sct or sniper is highly recommended but personally i use diablosport)

on top of all that make sure you keep up with regular maintenance, such as changing spark plugs and wires, keeping fresh fluids, change your oil every 3k miles, clean your fuel filter, etc...

and if you got plenty of dough to toss around, i would go with one of 3 options:

-supercharger
-turbo/twin turbo
-built stroker engine(4.2, 4.3, 4.4)
and with that much power youll probly need:
-a ford 8.8" rear end

and if you really got a good job you can build a tough stroker engine than put a supercharger or turbo/twin turbo on top of that!!

Red Bull, Jet chips aka useless potato chips and a turbonator would be worthless as well........keep with the real mods...check ebay for a cold air intake, a V6 mid pipe H or X to setup a GT stock catback with for exhaust....then from there maybe pullies...

Split Port Swap -
Exhaust -
Cai -
Under drive pulleys-
Tuner -

Next

- p&p heads
- p&p intakes
- cam
- RR's

Next
Forged Internals
4.2 stroker

Then/Or

Get/[Start out with] supercharger* / turbo* / nitrous*

*To be 100% safe forged internals would be required but not needed for boost under 8psi / 75shot of nitrous. Do not attempt both on stock engine.

well you can get a full M90 for around 300-800 depenging on how much rest you want... since you have a single port it wouldn't be that hard to do... ya know?? just a bit of swapping on the upper end... then you get a U.D pulley on the crank to reduce the PSI... and then you can run it no problems for a while... then in about a year you can rebuild your engine and pump up the performance and be runnin with GT's with out the wiffey knowin...
