well im gonna leave all the cats alone and just work behind em so i guess the only thing i need to decide is flow 44s or macs i think im gonna dump em for sure just not sure what brand i want

I had a v6 and ran dual pipes with an H pipe, are you looking at running a single muffler or are you spliting it into two? If its two dont run dumps it will not be a good idea. Go with Flowmaster im not sure how it will sound with a dump though one thing I know is that will cause you to lose a LOT of back pressure for sure

im running two and my theory was to cut the pipes right after the cats run a enough pipes to get close to the middle of the car then dump em should b ok dont ya think ??

Yea it should be ok...I dont know how bad it is for the car to lose so much back pressure, the main thing I would be worried about is the sound its going to either sound really really good or really shitty! My guess is it will sound great idle -3rpm's but once your past that I think it will get crackly and backfire when revving. That annoyed me on my old car but its up to you its all because of the imbalance in pressure your car wasn't made for that. It will sound great at idle though im sure I really liked my flowmaster idle

Are you looking mainly for sound or performance gain?

From what i have read if u take out the X or H pipe on your exhaust and straighten the pipes where they should be it will give you an over all more aggressive sound. Apparently v6's don't need the H or X pipe to alleviate back pressure since it is not a v8

Just thinking out loud, I wonder how a Y-pipe with extended pipes single flowmaster dump would sound.... That could be badass and may fix any back pressure issues, allowing clean smooth sound

Yeah thats what i ment but if u do.. I think.. I'm not 100% sure but you will have to get MIL eliminators if you dont plan on reinstalling the O2 sensors. Yeah i had some on my old v6 and it sounded good 3000 rpms- but sounded a lil to ricey for me 3500rpm+ so im takin out the x pipe to add a more agressive sound. But yeah deff ditch that stock Y-pipe unless it just doesnt sound the same and i dont think it would have the performance of a true dual exhaust
