exhaust and gears are going to be your biggest gains other then forced induction or spray...

Well, full exhaust may get you 20rwhp over stock restrictions, but a cam can get that much or more with a free flowing setup w/ or w/out forced induction. I shaved .6 seconds off my e/t with gears alone. I run high 14s and stock I would run low 16s... I know a guy with a shift kit and a cam (plus what I have done) on his 00 convertible 6cyl running 13.9 N/A.

Supercharge your car with a procharger or vortech and run 11 psi intercooled for 350-400 rwhp and you can run 12s in the 1/4

Best bang on the exhaust is a O/R xpipe...

Problem with cams is that if he decides to go forced induction later he has to get new ones...Plus putting in new springs in the 2V is not something eveyone can do...

Exhaust can be done cheaply...$200 for x-pipe...$150 for gears (dont knwo who much for install...I did my own)...And there is high 13's for his car easy...

I am also basing this that shit is a 04 GT...If it is a V-6 I have no clue...

*EDIT FOR BEING A DUMB@$$*
I just noticed I m in the V6/4 CYLINDER area...Guess that what I get for using "Posts Since Last Visit"...Sorry...

no way. I have every bolt on for the N/A split port V6 and run high 14s...

btw, saw your edit: the 3.8 has one cam and isn't difficult to swap out. but since a cam "tops off" your mod list, do it last with the final tune.

if you use too big a diameter of piping there can be an issue, but just follow the listed chart when selecting your piping:
