Help upgrading


Hi guys iam new to the site and to mustangs. I was wondering what can i do to upgrade my mustang i know iam about to upgrade my gears to 4.10 and my trac lock and get a daiblo chip and i want to get headers , cai, throttle body, pulleys and a roush side exhaust but is thier any thing i need to do to help these upgrades more. thanks for any help

If he has the eaton on there then he prolly has more mods...Im guessing though...

sry guys i for got that its an 01 mustang 3.8, i have done nothing yet because iam getting it painted true blue frist then i will upgrade i just wanted to know if thier is anything i can do to help the mods i have picked out or is their better ones to do. i just want to make this car a fast v6 and for people to respect my v6 mustang

truthfully the larger tb isn't gonna help all that much atleast at this point, but i would think about halfshafting and polishing the one you have now, but the gears and tune will work great, i really recommend SCT products from vmptuning.com which specialize in the 3.8, but either way they respond very well to tuning. I recommend getting long tube headers, do a search and you can find a nice howto install article on here. Exhaust is a personal preference for sound and looks but if your looking into the side exit, deceide now if you want to lower it in the future because i'm sure you will scrape everything. spintech also sells side exit exhaust for the 3.8 aswell. another good mod if going for a great sound is a cam, there are a few choices out there... also another option is swapping your rearend which is a 7.5 for a 8.8 with gears of your choice from a GT which will bolt up, just keep in mind the fox bodied stangs have narrower axle tubes than the sn-95's.
