Car Audio specs for 01 Mustang?

I'm getting a system put back in my new car. Anyone know the details for a 2001 mustang as far as speaker size (front and back)? I'm looking at the Alpine Type-R's, but not sure what size to get. I think I got 6x9's in my 1995 mustang.

I currently have an Alpine deck, Alpine Amp, and 3 JL Audio subs. I wanna pick up 4 speakers w/ components as well as an additional amp so I can have 1 amp going to the speakers and 1 to the subs.

Anyone know?

do you know if the 6x9's will fit? I saw some today that were Alpine Type-R 6x9, I don't think they sell 6x8's...hmmm

If it were me, I would purchase a nice component set that consists of a 6.5" midbass, tweeter, & crossover. Take whatever you have in the front, regardless of whether it's 6x8 or 5x7, and put the 6.5" midbass in there. If you're having an installer do it properly, he will know how to do this.

And as SSS said, don't put components in the rear package shelf. Use the factory speakers in the back for fill to start. If you don't like the sound of them, you can always upgrade them after. Quite often the rear factory speakers running on deck power is enough to have proper imaging.

Isn't that right, SSS?

Two tweeters back their is enough for proper imaging ( but do you think he really gets that deep into it?)

I wanna get the Alpine Type-R's all the way around, possibly Type-S's in the back for fillers - but Alpine doesn't make 6x8s
