Finally bought all my equipment (Car Audio)

I have the speakers and 2nd amp shipping to me right now, what do you think of this setup? It's the best I could afford as of right now.

They actually fit - they are very small, that's why I got 3. They are all 6" subs. The box was made for a mustang and I actually put it in yesterday. Fits nice and snug! I really wish I could have put (2) 12"s in there - but god, mustang trunks are so tiny! haha

You can fit 2 12's in without taking out the back seat.

yeah, I wanted 2-12's Alpine Type-R because I thought they sounded great. But, I have to say - the JL Audio hits the mids and highs a lot better. OBviously it won't hit the deep bass that the 12's can, but it actually does really well. I'm very happy with the 3 JL's

I just put 2 12's in my trunk, had to take the spare tire out to put them in but it worked!

Should sound good, I noticed once I replaced my headunit my speakers sounded soo much better...

That's a nice setup. The sub amp may be a little light on power.

you think? I don't know too much about amps...but I called JL Audio directly to tell them my setup and that's what they recommended. I hope it works!

On another note, I'm having this done professionally as opposed to me hacking it together. Any1 have an idea how much I should pay for this setup? So far, I was quoted 5-6 hours labor at $65/hr. and $150 for wiring - so almost $500. This seems a little steep to me. What do you think?

If JL recommended that ,then it must be fine, as I'm sure they are more knowledgable than me. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. lol

I think you get what you pay for, and that sounds about right.

I would say hack at it, i knew nothing about installing subs and installed them myself with no assistance. It took about 5-6 hours. The hardest part for me was finding where the power wire goes threw the car to the battery... but after searching the internet for about 5 mins I found that out... Saves you a bit of money... also if something were to not sound right or break for some reason you will know how to adjust things accordingly. If you need help im sure people on here will be able to answer questions.
