Amp mounting

Ok so my amp slides around in my trunk i'm thinking of bolting it down on the rear seat ahtat folds down. my problem is idk if there is anything behind that carpet that will actually hold it. my amp is a Audiobahn HCT1300 or something like that. it weights a little. anyone know if i can do that?

Use 3/4" black metal screws. There is metal underneath that carpet.

Also, if you have a sub box, you can also mount it to that.

I am pretty sure the entire back is metal. You can tell just by knocking your knuckles against it. Gently; don't go breaking your fist just cause' of me. lol

Why not just go by a new, longer RCA cable, and then mount the amp on the box?

If you can get your hand in there, yes. You not have the keys to pull the deck out?

Another option is to go to an installer in your area, have him repair the end on that RCA, and buy a short extension RCA, and then mount it on your box.

I don't know. I've never attempted to repair an RCA cable.

It's possible you could wreck the cable, yes. But, as I say I've never tried to repair one, I've always just replaced them.

ive got my amp mounting directly in the center of both and my cap next to it.

seat only comes down as a whole but its strong enough to hold just about any amp. and theres no way its metal in the seat cuz i deff used a hand held phillips head screw driver.
