hey im new to this site but uh i have a 98 3.8L mustang, i'm looking for headers that are good quality but will give it a nice v8 sound. also, to add to your questions on an exhaust system i have a maganaflow exhaust system will dual exhaust, so u might want to consider that as well.

Magnaflow sounds like rice on v6's

- nothing will give you a v8 sound but av8

- Long Tubes & Flow 40s will give you a good sound.

Long tubes give a better sound, and add more hp.

well when i say v8 sound i guess i meant something that adds some more sound to it then just the exhast system. i've looked at like jba and bbk parts.so sounds like longtubes are a better opttion. what are flow 40's?

If you want the best possible exhaust for your v6 here it is:

Flowmaster Catback Exhaust Setup w/ Flowmaster 40 series muffles
Mac H-Pipe
Mac LongTube Headers

No they will not fit right on, there will have to be some custom work/welding done to it including MIL eliminators but it is WELL worth it....

Go to a shop and tell them -

Also you don't need an h pipe or an x pipe or any mid pipe for that matter...

And some people say 44s don't sound as good as 40s
(btw when I say 40s i mean ORIGINAL not super 40s)
