ported lower intake with IMRC removal

2moro i have nothing much to do then work on my buddies car and maybe my own...i wanna do the seafoam deal...put 93 octane in it...and put my lower ported intake with the IMRC delete....and see what happends.....if i find the car runs like shit then i'll put the stocker back on not a big deal....but if i think its running even if not better...then I may go to sniper friday and get another tune

Yeah let us know how the new lower intake feels. Hoe hard is the porting

If anything, running a ported lower (only) with IRMC valves deleted will gain you about -6hp/-8trq. You might have some spark knock too, unless you run 91-93oct. Your tune should be adjusted for the parameters associated with the operation of the IRMC valve system.

IMRCs were created for low end trq....losing HP doesnt seem to make sense...plus 3500+rpms will be like it always is...when they open up neways....so top end trq and hp will not be changed....i will be on 93 Octane...and I understand a tune would be recommended which I may or may not get 2moro...but either way I would run it on the car for a few mintues and if its acting to funny i would put the other back on and just wait for my plate....it will be in a trailer when its ready to be tuned all together regardless...dont wnana risk anything

its a no go with the swap on the lower intake until the blower is on...so its gonna have to wait....i knew it probably wasnt the best thing to do NA but i figured why not...but F it

Ok. I just thought I would mention something because I did a compare of two tunes (with and without IRMC valves) I have and there is a big difference in 2-3 spark tables and a modifier (multiplier). And I realize this was done to add torque, but hp is a product of torque.

BTW: I didn't see your last post before sending this one.

ur going to notice a torque loss in the bottom end with the IMRC deleted. ur probably not going to like it bro.

^ I know of this already...i was gona do it to see if i picked up more hp on the low end which would only make sense that i would...also on the top end I know I would gain more trq and hp because its a lot more open then before...the flow is a hell of alot different

sorry but like other people who come on here talking bs all the time and saying shit like we should believe them..i have proof with everything as for the upper like onemanzu said im having a plate be made right now for a m112 to be installed on top...and figured might as well do some of the project now and get a lil more top end power...hopefully i can fix my exhaust leak before i get on the dyno today...i gota find something to cap off the tube that connects into the exhaust manifold for the EGR....i needa un screw the bolt and cap it off some how...so either i'll go to home depot and find a bolt that would match size and threads...or try and use my rear 02 sensor thats no longer needed just to cap it lol...we'll see....i hate exhaust leaks and its pretty bad
