Some sites just sell the scoop. It goes on your stock hood. You just have to have it painted.

I just put a GT hood scoop on my 01. My car is Oxford White, and I got i painted Gloss Black, just to be a little different. I bought the hood scoop off ebay, for $117, and I took it to the ford dealership and had the paint it and drill it in for about $200, which isnt bad. I would have drilled it in myself, but I didnt have the templite to do so. I didnt want to screw up and drill useless holes in my hood, so I just had it professionally done. I have seen them go for about $200 or more unpainted. When I got mine, it was already painted gloss black, but it looked like someone took their fingernails and scraped the crap out of it. ????

I went from having a GT hood to an 03 Cobra hood.

it was already painted ... it cost me $300.00

you can find entire GT hoods for a lot less than $300.00 locally.

hell.. I sold my old GT hood for $100.00

u paid that much for a scoop ? coulda got a full fiberglass hood half the weight of the stock one and in a different style for about 350...paint it black ur self ...and run it like that till u get it painted...and if ur car is black or white it wouldnt look to bad just primer white or flat black...but of course paint it to match or something...also check forums for other hoods and or scoops that match....ive seen 03-04 Cobra hoods for cheap

Yeah, I did. I did attempt to paint it my self, I sanded it down and repainted it myself, however it came out with some small indentions on it and it really pissed me off, I already go hooked up from the Ford Dealership when the painted my rear GT bumper for $200.22 and the guy said he would take care of me. So thats not bad considering that they charge $75 for install and $200 for painting. I didnt really want a fiberglass hood, not to bothered about the weight, just apperances and a few engine mods at the moment, if I want to drive a fast car, I could take out my dad's 1970 mach 1 or the 2006 GT, but depends on what mood hes in .

I already have a black vinyl decal to but on the hood to run from the front of the hood into the scoop, and Painted the coral around the pony the same color as the car, oxford white.

cap them off...go to LOWES and buy the little plstic caps that will pop right in......as for spoilers/wings....u can take the 99-00 and move it back...which i think u already did...or just run no wing....something i shoulda done a long time ago...catches less attention by the cops too fromt behind and the sides

I bought my hood scoop from Xtreme Autosports in NY. They painted it for me and shipped it out very quickly. I'm very happy with it, take a look below:
