01 Cobra for 11,000 easy...a lot more potential...i need a SC just to beat my buddies bolt on 01 Cobra...but let him get on the bottle or forced induction and makes the V6 look slow as hell...4V is just better

kepp the v6 with all the mods you can be faster than that plus you'll save a load on insurance! a sleeper v6 that is as fast as a cobra would "wow" people more imo...i guess technically its a win win situation...but like h said, not necessarily that cobra...

i always see it as ... well ... smarter to fully rebuild a car that makes as much horsepower as a cobra then buy a cobra and not know what you expect...

v6 mustang -7k
new engine -6k
turbo -3k

--------------
Cobra - 11k
bolt ons - 2k
fixing little broken things - 1k

.....................

the v6 thats just as fast cost like 2 grand more but its all new and you know how its been beat on ... thats all im saying

you know it...

most of that price is a cushion for such needs...

but yea i would take a Sixer and 5G over a Cobra any day man... not hating on them just saying that i would want to know how my performance car was/is beat on before i through a ton of power at it

the money you would save for insurance would be mod money too even if you had no extra cash when you get the car, ya know

To each is own.

fyi there are A LOT of hidden costs involved.

shipping, tunning, install, ect..

it's going to cost more than you think.

trust me.

I've already been there.

i would recommend since this is your first car dont go for the cobra...get something a bit cheaper and drive it for a while so you can fix everything thatgoes wrong before you put money into mods and stuff...gt's have plenty of power and a v6 is great for boltons and what not....just remember the price of the car isnt the only thing you have to pay for when getting a car...
