huh??

sorry im tired...

look if you aren't sure if its a factory alarm try to track down the wires and look for the main hub that is the alarm system ... if you can find that then you should be able to find out who made it ... then you can get a remote to work with it and the instructions will come with the remote

try this

1) Turn key from OFF to ON eight times within 10 seconds ending
in the ON position.
2) After doors lock then unlock, press any button on the
remote being programmed.
3) The doors should lock/unlock to confirm programming.
4) Turn key to OFF and door locks should cycle one last time.

I found a sight that doesnt cost anything for it and it it has pretty much every stock ford remote reset sequence.

And that 10 second 8 time on off thing only works on all the trucks and the mercury sable and escort.

and here is the site to for you to look for yourself.

The one i said may not work for his particular car but it did say it worked on a 99 mustang so figured chances might be pretty good.

Mine came with a remote! : ]

I know the troubles of not having one though. Once you go keyless you never go back. Back when i had my 93 accord everytime i'd unlock or lock the door ( had to use the key ) I got a huge static shock. Very painful.
