Transmission Leak?

I don't know if any one else had this problem but i noticed it and took it in for warranty because i noticed my tranmission was leaking onto my exhaust and making it smoke only when i was hard on the throtle and they said they fixed it but i noticed it agian on friday if any one has any opinions or suggestions on how to fix this little problem please let me know.

it sounds more like a head gasket leak no tranny ... do you smell anything weird or different...

coolant smells kinda like syrup when it burns... so if your smelling that then that will help you out... also if you have heating problems and lose of power

No it is definitly my tranny because i pulled over as soon as i saw it and there was still some resedule fluid left on the tranmission that driped to the ground... I was told that my reliefe valve was leaking so i had the dealership change it but i'm wondering if my tranny is just getting so hot when i get on the gas or that my tranny is over full i don't know i was wondering if any one had a 4.0 that was doing this

Whatever it is. It is not normal. Take it to Ford and tell them to fix it!

i agree cuz friday i wasnt really all that hard on it i mean i was in fifth gear with the cc set at 70 going up a lil hill ouf of cali lol but it didn't do again the whole weekend so i don't know i'll take it back them in a couple of weeks

So it leaks periodically?.... Weird. did you recently have an oil change?... Maybe some got spilledor something and it was dripping down. IDK

no it has a reliefe valve kind of by the shaft seal i and i think whats happening is that when i go up hill the trans mission is putting to much pressure on it so it leaks a little bit out i don't know lol fords still gonna hve to fix it lol i love having the extended warrenty lol
