lower intake gains


after i get on the dyno and see what the deal is on making some more power.....anyone looking for a seperate lower intake that can be worked on for ya let me know....including the IMRC delete and the holes in the runner filled...and tubes in the 1st runners will be removed too...

well I will do the porting on it yes...and my friend will do the polishing on it...we had plans to paint it black but if u want it just silver it will just be cleaned up nicely instead....no remember this is so theres no use of the EGR...so idk if that will go by your emissions

i have friends in good places emissions wont be a problem. and black would be preferable whats the price?

if jugs doesnt take it, im interested! i already have my egr deleted so this would work just fine for me! id like the port and polish done too if i get it

ok, cool. how many miles youre lower intake have on it tho? if i buy this, ill have to search somewhere for an upper intake too cuz i always try to get as much done at once as possible. next things im doing are p&p upper and lower, and than tokico gas shocks and struts in the rear. after that, heads, cam, and pushrods!! but the heads, cam, pushrods wont be til next year

I will be able to do upper intakes if they can be sent to me..i already sold the extras i had...but with the new plate on i can do uppers again swapping back and fourth...as for now i would need to get urs then send urs back...wouldnt have a spare......as long as i make power which i will with the lower and juggalo wants to go through with it...i can also try and get him a pre loaded lower tune setup with my car to use with his software...this way he can make some power too

Porting the intakes should be done as a pair. Porting the lower without keeping the upper's influence in mind will more than likely result in a drop and loss in intake runner velosity and induce turbulance. It's not about making ports bigger, but improving the flow dynamics. Keep in mind that I do not know your definition of porting. Weather you're thinking of the flow dynamics or a simple casting cleanup.

i believe when the IMRC are gona and the tubes that where in the 1st runner are deleted as well...thats a lot better flow...of course doing the upper too...

neways....I talked to patrick a little while ago and said u guys with tunes from sniper can email him your tune or stock tune pending on what Sniper stuff you have and he can send u a pre loaded tune of my setup with the lower....as for price you would have to speak with him because I didnt ask...

May be for a more modified engine (cam, heads BLOWER/TURBO ect). As it is, they flow very well. I believe there is also an economy byproduct of the IRMC motors where the single runner creates a swirl condition in the combustion chamber that creates a lean burn while in closed loop. I think I remember Justin (VMP) saying something about it. But anyhoo.

well the way i see it with less in the way to disrupt flow the better...of course a ported upper and bigger Tbody would really do the trick...but im just waiting on my plate so i put this on for now...porting a upper and upgrading a single throttle body would not only be a waste of time it would be a waste of money for me...so if i can gain with just this for now thats cool...either way it had to be put on...i'll let the blower do the rest like in ur case

ok so I will be going into sniper today but wont have time to get a tune in which sucks...i can only get some free dyno passes on the rollers because theres to many appointments today....which is cool...i might try and convince him to just tweak it a bit if possible instead of trying to tune writing different programs every 15min...time adds up that way

lol...well im waiting on his call back rite now to try and come in...i dont really care to much about getting a tune...i just wanna see if i made ne power...they're really busy on fridays for cars getting ready for the weekends...so its hard to take a 30min window just for a dyno pass...and if theres tuning it'll take up to 1hr...so we'll see...if i get in today i will only make a untuned pass on the dyno...i can try and get him to tweak it for me instead of a all out tune but like i said...when the blower is on...thats when it goes down lol
