Rattling noise

So whenever I accelerate I hear a rattling noise at around 35-40 mph or when my RPMs hit more than about 2300. Any ideas what this could be? I think it's coming from the passenger's side of the engine bay but I could be wrong.

Any ideas?

If you have a CAI it is probably the piping rattling against the shock tower. That is usually the culprit.

^ +1 either that or its hitting the top inside of the fenderwell. its always touching its just more noticeable at those RPMs. I have a K&N CAI in the fenderwell and mine does the same thing at around the same RPMS, if you can find something to put inbetween it might help or just deal with it like i do, its really not that bad

Thanks for the help guys. One small problem though, I don't have a CAI. I'm bone stock.

well then that is not such a simple problem. so you can only hear the noise when its at that speed? is it like a whine? if it is, its probably the alternator

Nah, it's only under acceleration. I should have clarified that it rattles under regular acceleration and that at around 35-40 is when it starts but it rattles louder when I'm accelerating above 2300 RPMs

It rattles regardless of a/c usage. I don't know for sure that it's on that side. That's just where it sounds like it's coming from.

I didn't notice anything out of the norm. Just got done changing the spark plugs and I checked while I was under the hood. My power steering high-pressure hose had a little play in it, is that normal?

shit im dumb ... you replaced your plugs right ... well the plugs are right by the headers ... a simple bump or tap can knock lose a catalytic converter cover... thats all it is ... one of the cheap tacks on the covers must have cracked... if it drives you nuts get under their with a cheap clamp or something ... or weld it back together or take it to a shop that you know really well and see if they can just hit it really quick for like $5
