rotors and exhaust q.

my rotors are having like this lines everytime getting deeper.. and if it continues like this i think my rotors will get fuck.. so could some1 could tell me what could be causing this?

i notice em today.. the last time i checked the rotors were 3 days ago and it didnt have em... they are kinda deep so it preocupates me..

ohh and my exhaust is frustrating me.. its sounds really good btwn 1.5 ks and lower (Really really nice sound) but above that.. silence zip nada of sound... so why the fuck is this happening cheap mufflers? i even dont know what mufflers does it has the car came with true duals... maybe the silence is beacause it has all the stock cats?

Flowmaster 40's will make the 6 sound better. And +1 on the pads getting low.

It's not abnormal for rotors to develop some lines on them over time. It depends on how bad/deep the lines are.

my car is loud... but at 1.5k rpms and lower... it even make the car alarm sound like crazy.. but when i'm at 1.6 or above rpm it just silences... no sound at all like if the car was off and i mean NO sound i just hear the motor(the exhaust even doesnt make the v6 raspy sound).... i even told my brother to rev it while i was hearing the exhaust.. and the only thing that makes a sound is the motor... on when he stops revving...

the exhaust diameter is 2.5"... it isnt to big... (of what i know)

could this be the muffler it has.. or just because it has all the freaking cats?

i dont want to buy the 40s and the car still getting silent...

First off, ec, whatever noise it makes below 1500 rpm is kind of irrelevant, since you are almost always above 1500 if you are getting on it at all.

Second of all, it's tough to say if the mufflers are your problem without knowing what kind they are.

Third, yes, the cats can affect sound, as can the type of crossover the car has.

i got a pic... it doesn look good u just see the line but u cant tell how deep the are... but they are deep and its only in the rear rotors nothing on front... the left rear rotor has deeper lines than the rigth one...

ohh and just in case.. i know the rotors develop some line but this arent normal... i touch em and they are deep not like the front one wich are like superficial... (at least all the car rotors i see/touched are like superficial lines... not deep one)

Chances are the rotor may have been scored when the pads wore down and weren't replaced soon enough. If you want to know for sure if they are ok, take the car to a mechanic, and have him measure the thickness of the rotor.

I'm not sure about that, ec. We don't have Autozone's in my area. It's not a big deal to figure out, all he needs is a caliper and a book that tells him the minimum thickness of the rotors on your car.
