gt takeoff exhaust idle volume

I just got a gt takeoff system put on my car 2 days ago and the idle volume coming from the tips is extremely quiet when the engine is warm. Its pretty much non-exsistant unless your ear is about 3 feet from the tip . I thought this was pretty weird considering that the stock muffler was about 2 times louder at idle. At higher rpms than idle (above 750rpm) it sounds great and has a decent purrr. If it helps, I dont have an H or X pipe, just 2 striaght mid pipes. I was just curious to see how many people who have had this system on their sixer have found the idle to be as quiet as a Honda?

an h pipe may give a slightly louder idle, my one friend had the same set up as you and had a slightly quiet idle, added an h and had a bit more purr to it.

its quieter now because instead of all your exhaust exiting one pipe , you have 2 now. an h or x pip will help this a bit.

I have the OEM Mustang GT mufflers. Ok, so if I were to install a crossover pipe it might help a bit with the idle volume? Just curious. Thanks.

or replace the mufflers with some flows and get an H pipe for a much louder and better sound

i was really wanting some mac's but i've looked at a couple places online and have yet to find just the flowpath mufflers. second choice would probably be some flow 80s or bassani bx mufflers (probably way too expensive). i like the gt mufflers so far, not too loud and not too quiet which is exactly what i was going for . unfortunately, there is an exhasut leak in the manifold so, whenever its in the 1000rpm to 2000rpm range, the go-kart like sound drowns out the soft purrr .
