Strange Whining

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and I have a question. I have a 2007 V6 automatic that I have had for about a year. Yesterday, it started making really loud squeaking noises. I had a hard time telling where it was coming from. I was at a drive thru, and when the car was stopped, it was quiet, but as soon as I hit the gas, there was this loud whining. Anyway, when I finished at the drive thru I took it to the parking lot and put it in park. When I put it back in drive, I didn't hear anymore whining. I haven't heard it since. Do you know what this could have been? Do mustangs normally do random stuff?

Newer cars are the ones that usually have problems right away which sucks...Bring it into the dealership and have them check it out...you shouldnt have to pay for anything.....every car is different...random problems can happen pending manufacturer defects, weather issues...etc. if it persist....and u can zero in a little better on where the sound is coming from and the exact moments u notice it starts up...feel free to come back and ask us...if not the dealership

I was driving it today and I heard the squeak again. It sounds like its coming from the dash and it does it when I first put my foot down on the accelerator. Its really wierd. If its sporadic, do you think it would do me any good to take it to the dealership or should I just let it break, then take it?

God no, dont let something break, cause when one thing breaks you usually have something else break along with it, just take it to the dealership tell em what you heard, make em fix it and be done with the matter, let it break crazy head

hell no man just take it to the dealer dont let it get all fucked up...

it would be like for example.. if it where the clutch needing a change.. u cant let it brake. y? cuz u would have to buy a bunch of other parts and end up paying a lot more than just buying the clutch and replacing it...

Theres nothing about intermittent "really loud squeaking noises" that is part of the breaking in period.

Its the dealers problem,not yours.
