Scremin Demon Coil Packs, and Livewires.

Alright got it on my car, and took her for a small test drive. First lets start with the bad. Don't get the livewires. They don't fit. The wires that do fit, are very long for the car, and are too big to clamp down. Then there are wires that are extremely short and can only reach plugs #1 and #2. So on scale of 1-10 on the livewires. They get a 0.

Now for the part that everyone has truly been wondering about. The Screamin Demon Coil Packs. Well first of all installation is quite easy. I unplugged the battery, unplugged the plug into the distributor, took off the 4 bolts, undid the spark plug wires, and took it off. Then just reversed the process. Extremely easy to install. Well after messing around with those wires praying they would fit, and failing miserably, I put the stock ones back on. No big deal there. Now after I had the battery connected and everything I went to start up the car. First try...it cranked, but did not start. So I tried again, and she fired right up. Now for the test drive. Well first off for $100 you can feel the power. It's not a lot, but more than you can feel from a cai. You feel it mostly at low RPMs, and then through the powerband, not from a roll and then you just mash the pedal. So as I was having fun driving around with my new toy, I did have a smile on my face, and I am happy with the purchase. This is a product that so far I would recommend to other 94-04 sixers.

Install Rating: 10
Drivability: 10

Go for the Screamin Demon Coil packs from www.v6mustangstuff.com , just leave the livewires out, and get yourself a different set.

*edit - new review on livewires a little down the page.*

Well I would say to upgrade to that screamin demon coil pack, and its time for me to get some msd wires.

*Edit - talked to Don at v6mustangstuff, and he talked to the guys at performance distributors and he told them that they sent me the wrong wires, and that they are goin to fix the problem. So we will see what happens.*

Alright well I got a new set of Livewires today, and I got to put them on. They fit this time. Now aside from the actual size of them(not length just size) they are pretty bulky. The jacket is wide, and the coil pack plug is fairly large. So it is a nice little cram for all of the coil pack plugs to fit. Well I did get them on and I did get to test drive my car, and I am impressed. These wires are good wires. They gave that extra oomph I thought I could get out of the new distributor. I would now recommend these wires.

livewires vs. MSD

i read that the livewires are rated at 300-350ohms and that the msd wires are 50ohm. since the msd wires have less resistance, wouldnt that make them the obvious choice? are there any other factors to consider when comparing these plug wires?

MSD is very well known for their products. I would love to go full msd with my ignition, but I found these and tried them out.(No use in changing them so soon.) But for the people who want to try something different, cant find the msd wires, or some other excuse they should try the Livewires.

haha losers my bimmer has direct ignition!(a saab invention) i dont need to use those energy robbing wires! but on a more serious note the best ignition set up would be rigging up some 6 cyl direct ignition from another car (essentially like having tasers bolted up to each of your plugs)
