you can only get by emissions if you pay a shady guy at a smog shop to use somebody elses car but its gunna be expensive because its hard to do and he is pocketing that money becuase if you want to get buy you have to pay him

some states will fail a long tube header setup in visual inspection, regardless of how it performs on the sniffer test

As a general rule Long tubes for bottom end and shorties for top end power. IMO the difference between the two performancewise is undetectable by the butt dyno so it really only matters what you want for sound. The V6 is gonna sound like a ricer up top no matter what you do so live with it. The best way to get a good sound down low is to install a long tube setup with a nice cam and VIOLA! V8 sound at idle but tinny rice up top.

^ thats because you havent been on the dyno with stock manifolds then LTs swapped out...The LTs will make a difference esp. with a tune or when Forced Induction is used...being the LTs will be used with a Dual Exhaust setup it will help flow better also assuming there a CAI too...and V8 sounds come from V8s...just a louder V6 sound is the result of exhaust and aggresive Cams

the v8 sound doesnt come from being a v8, it comes from being an odd-firing motor. or even-firing motors will never have the tone of the odd-firing motors

do u know of a V8 that sounds not like a V8 ? i know the firing order has to do with it...but how many V6 mustangs have this odd firing order ?

Ive heard my share of Cammed LS1s and built Terminators...and I wish my car could sound 1/4 as good...i even drove a stock 03 GT and 07 GT and realized quick my exhaust is horrible...haha
