differant stock hood and bumper????

i bought my mustang (2004 black auto v6) about 4 months ago and havn't noticed many other mustangs that look like mine. Most msutangs have the word mustang in the bumper but mine dosnt. Also the scoop on my hood goes the opposite direction. The fake plastic part faces the driver instead of facing the front of the car like most. And also the word mustang is written in cursive on top of the spoiler inside the gold trim. Is there a special name for the type of mustang i have and how is it differant from most others i see?

i think ur year is just the year ford used the wanna be heat extractor hood
they just use subtle differnces to differentiate between years

as for the gold

u just have the plain style V6 hood...it was used on the 99cobra as well its nothing special...as for the Mustang in cursive someone probably had it done if its not just a sticker...the rear bumper could be a replacement replica bumper when not from Ford its just plain with the MUSTANG print...or they had it filled in which I doubt...probably just a replacement because it was hit or damaged in some way..

does yours also have a 40th anniversary badge on the interior, above the cigarette ligher? if it does, that will explain the gold and the cursive mustang, beacausr Ford only put those on the 'true' 40th anniversary edition Mustangs, along with the badge on the inside.

johnbarber you have the 40th ann edition, also your stang is 3.9(04) liter instead of the 3.8(99-03), so it has a tiny bit more hp.

the 3.9's hp rating didnt increase any
