Longtube help

I posted this in the Clubhouse, but I think it'll get alot better response here. Id like you to tell me the symptoms of not filling in the rear sensors on LT headers so that I can diagnose my problems.

did you turn the sensors off in a tune? if not you will throw a CEL code or MIL code (same thing) your air/fuel can get fubared and you will have a shitty idle and shitty acceleration. its worse when the front pair go out though

That sounds like my problem. It has a fugged up idle and it is real sluggish. I put the O2's back in the front, but the rear bungs are just sitting there open. Should I weld it or get fake sensors? I do not have a tuner and I will not for a while. Can it run normal w/o a tuner?

you dont need a tuner. you need real o2 sensors for the rear and you need MIL eliminators. it is cheaper this way. no it wont run normal without the correct voltage sent to the ecu

You mean that it win't run right with out the tuner, right? Can I use the stock rear O2 sensors? Will I have to extend the rears to make them fit too? And i'll need MIL eliminators either way, or only if I don't get a tuner?

MIL's will only be needed if you have o/r mid pipe or very hi flow cats and extending them that will probable need to be done but cant say with out looking under the car and seing if the sensors will reach

If you have long tubs & no cats, or o/r mid pipe then you need a.) MIL eliminators or B.) Tuner to turn off the rear 02 sensors

The rear sensors missing shouldn't make it run horrible

I have LT's and high flow mini cats. It REALLY sounds bad when its starting up. And it doesn't run good at all. Any other suggestions?

I honestly dont know. I dont think the little rear O2 bung would make that big of a leak.

No, the LT's have front and rear bungs. My rears are just open right now. Do I need to weld them or add 02 sensors?

Your Long Tubes have 2 02 bungs? (2 on each header?)

Thats weird because the rear one would be pointless ....
