I have a 2001 V6 and just had true dual flowmaster exhausts (40 series) put on. I would def. recommend it! I have had sooo many compliments. I spent $450 for cat-backs + tips

congrats you have plenty of money to buy a full exhaust man... here is what you should look at...

Mac Long Tube headers and
Mac off road h pipe for those long tubes
then get any GT catback that you want it will put you at about $800-900 depending on how well you shop and install it your self... its all bolts on... not hard at all

the GT bumper is just for looks... its a bunch of metal you can get it bent to work with or with out the cut outs...

I bought everything local at a place called "Lou's Custom Exhaust", it's a chain but I'm not sure how large. I'm pretty sure it's pretty much in the New England Area / Massachusetts. They have a really good reputation around here. Where are you located?

I was really nervous getting it done because I've heard some REALLY nice sound exhausts on mustangs and REALLY poor sounding ones. This gave me the deep sound I was looking for instead of the fart-like ones. Although arguable, I have found the Flowmasters to give a much deeper sound than the Magnaflows. I searched around YouTube for videos and sound clips as a reference.

interesting....well from having mine for a couple months, I wouldn't want to go any louder. It's pretty damn loud as it is. I think it would probably get annoying on the highway especially if it was.

I also noticed the sound changed as they broke in. The first few weeks of driving it had a slightly higher pitch. Then after a month, it really toned down to a that *rumble*. I loooooove the sound!

I just PM'ed you...I wish I had a digital vid. camera so I could get a sound clip up for you, but i don't. I just have a Hi-8 and don't have the adapter to transfer it to my computer. I'm going to jump on youtube and find a video im thinkign of that sounds very similar to mine

This video is almost a dead-on representation of what my sounds like. The only thing that sounds different is when he revs it. The video camera doesn't really do it justice to what it really sounds like. However, the idle sound is dead-on if this is the sound you're looking for
