get a catted H pipe and magnaflows for a deep tone. if you want it loud, get an offroad midpipe and magnapacks or other nonbaffled mufflers

u should be ok its probably from the muffler back any how. but if u run 2.5" on a N/A motor u lose alot of back pressure and it rapes ur low end.

2.5 isnt harmful, it just supports more power down the road. but you want the flow of the exhaust pipes to match the flow your engine is creating.

i have 2.5" pipes. SSMS car has 3" pipes after the collector pipe that turn down. the flow of the motor determines what size. there are charts to show the support of diameter piping and hp:

I did see a slight "drag" in low end power. After I got the CAI, I got some of it back ( no facts, just a butt dyno). I did get a boost in high end power though. My acceleration above 70 is definately better.

I thought they told me 2.5.

I could be wrong though.

mandrel are same diameter through the bends. crush are narrower when a bend occurs because it is cheaper for shops to buy/use crush benders than mandrel benders
