2004 v6 vs 2003

i remember on a previous post that someone had said that parts for a 2003 will work on a 2004 v6 because the only difference is in the stroke or something. What all does this apply to, what parts can i get that are for a 2003 that i can use on a 2004

the parts are the same 99-04 with the exception of a small amount of things.

everything on the body will fit as well as 99% of the motor.

I know you cant put an 04 anniversary badge on an 03 because the car will lose 30 hp.

Whatever it is you want to order, specify the year and the distributor will know what works and what doesnt. With all the little replacement parts Ive bought, they all landed within "99-04". Nothing has said "04" only. Except for one advertisement for the headlights.

Some of its confusing and misleading too. So your being smart for asking. When I was shopping for a headlight, some of them said for "04" only. Thats crap. From what I know, that year works for all years in the range.

^ isn't there something with the intake thats different?

maybe a shradder valve difference.. I forget what it is but I know there is something small that is different on the v6's besides styling.

99-00 and 01-04 have differences in the fuel rails and upper intake/pvc and baffling in the intake, but all bolt ons are interchangeable. but the 01-03 and 04 are the same minus the internal .1 liter being added

The 04 3.9 is a stroker beast. Don't let that ~.06 liter (Ford rounds up) increase fool you. It will eat you alive. Bad puppy.

i thought there was a slight change to the crank on the 04's. giving them the extra displacement.

the tuners work with the computer code, not the motor.
