Exhaust question

Hey guys, i recently decided that my first mod to my new 06' v6 would be to take out the old exhaust, and put in a new, dual-header with American thunder flowmasters, my only question is simple - how?

i realize that sounds funny but to be more precise im looking for the right types of pipes to add, and im sure some of you have done what im planning on doing so if i can get any info/tips/suggestions that would be great, add some links if ya can too.

thanks =)

How? Well since you already know what you want order the cat back and bolt it up?

I'm not sure what you mean buy "dual-header" since your car isn't an I-6 its a v6 so it has "dual-manifolds"....

That's waht i meant, i'm talking about the exhaust system itself. in dumb speak what im saying is i know what i want, but how do i make it dual exhausts, rather than one? what exhaust pipes do i need and will i need to take off the cats, etc.

hope that helps

Your best bet would be head up to the local exhaust shop, tell them to run you 2.25-2.5" pipe, and whatever flow master muffler you want.

However flowmaster doesn't really flow that well despite their name.

in that case - im not looking for a preformance boost, but the most deep - throaty sounding roar anyones ever heard from a v6. what do you suggest?

unfortunatly every exhaust setup i have heard on the 05+ is WAY to quiet and not impressive at all so im not sure what to tell you. your best bet is to go to Youtube and find the best soundind setup you like
