Where to purchase a K&N CAI from?

Hi all,

I'm trying to purchase a new K&N CAI but its coming out to be atleast $215 +handling for the V6. On ebay I was able to find one for the V8 for $170 including shipping and handling. Is there any place I can get it cheaper? What are some of the best places to order things for the v6?

If it matters, I have a 2002 Mustang V6 3.8L

Thanks in advance!

Jadugar

Well 215 is about what your gonna have to spend to get a K & N CAI and the one on ebay is cheap because its on Ebay most likely bought wholesale and sold on there...But trust me K & N CAI is no different than other kits out there only thing about K & N is that they make very nice products and there filters is where it counts...

I would suggest buying a Bomz Racing Cold Air Intake off of ebay for 50-60 bucks and if your very hooked on the K & N CAI well then just goto a local auto parts store and buy a K & N Filter for 60-70 bucks and putting it on the Bomz Racing Intake in total spending about 130 at most and it will be just as good as a K & N intake that you can buy for 215+

Can't you get a K&N FIPK straight from K&N?

I can get the K&N fipk straight from K&N but it will be a little more expensive. Is there much difference between the Bomz Racing CAI and the K&N fipk other than the filter?

Does the K&N have plastic pipes as opposed to metal in the Bomz? I know Demolet/Tunable Induction had plastic construction and keeps out heat better. Demolet is really the best way to go.

Sorry, I'm a complete newb so I dont know if it has plastic pipes. All I know is that K&N makes one for the V6 Mustang and my friend said that K&N is the best but I'm open to other brands, ideas etc. Where do I get this Demolet from? My objective is to get a good CAI for as cheap as possible. I have no attachment to K&N.

Give VMP Tuning a try. They're a new vendor here and seem to specialize in V6 stuff. Ask them in their forum.

Sure, that'd be great 00SoSlow! Also, how much did you pay for it including shipping?
