How much hp can stock fuel pump take?

i saw another thread about fuel pumps and was wondering how much hp can the stock one handle? im buying a stage 2 power pack tomorrow from mmvi and i plan on having around 270-280hp. will the stock fuel pump at least handle that? and im assuming ill need bigger fuel injectors too. im going for 34lb injectors cuz i wanna bump the power up more in the future. if i have to change the fuel pump, is the 310lph from vmp the way to go?

Do you plan on getting some other mods? Because a s2 power pack wont get you 270-280....

If your going to get injectors might as well get 39# or 42# injectors....

270 - 280 wont happen with a power pack alone. even ssms admits that you need other modifications for that. I'd go with a cold air intake, throttle body, larger injectors, pump to go with the injectors, better coilpack, plugs and wires for better spark, a tune (of course), pulleys, gears, tlok, and there's so much more that I don't know or can't think of that will go into the category of upgrades...

it took me a while to realize that I won't get that out of my powerpack... so I started looking for other options like pistons, stroker kits and whatnot... in the end, I am going FI

No reason to upgrade the stock coil pack.

well, mine crapped out and the wires are shitty, so, I just threw that in haha seriously, I bought so many sets of plus wires because they won't hold to the packs... junk.

What kind of wires did you buy? I've only been thru three sets in 8 years?

they were the standard wires from Belden... bought them at napa... I've been everywhere else and that is the only kind of wire they sell for my car. Also, I bought the platinum+ plugs, and because of the wires, the car misfired A LOT... the little plastic connectors won't stay on the pack.

first, you really need to get rid of those damn bosch plugs, worst thing that you could put into a mustang. Second you need to get some quality wires, go to Summit racing and order some real ones.

I run the taylor myself. These are the best wires that I've owned so far.

I have friends of mine buy them. The coil pack has died on a couple of them. The wires look real good from what I can tell, but $100 on wires is a lot.
