squeaking noise

i was one my way to sacramento for college and i got half way there when this sqeaking noise started. now it is loud as hell and never stops. my first thought was that it was just the exhuast leak was getting worse. some people say it is a pulley problem. it had an exhaust leak in it already so i thought it had just gotten worse. any ideas?

also if you could be a little more specific to where its coming from(engine bay, front of the engine, under the car, back of the car near the rear end) and it will be easier for us to give you an idea of what it is

not yet ... its starting to break down a bit and stuff... the squeaking is the belt slipping hard core over the pulley... and if its slipping that means the pulley isn't spinning like it should... give it about a week or so and you will start to notice your electrics will start gettin weak
