it is the f150 4.2, i ported and polished the heads and upper and lower intakes. I laso has a spec b cam, springs, and pushrods from morana racing

All cables, wires, everything is connected.

plugs are brand new, gapped and fully installed

Sensors are all in and fully connected

Fuel lines, rail, injectors are all connected and it smells like itss getting gas and its popping some

The computer is from the stock 3.8 tunned by a sniper special forces tunner but tuned for 3.8 still.... Could this be the problem?

could be but not critical enough to not let your car start i believe..just not run at it best...but imnot to sure if the computer might not be able to correspond with the new block or wat..still i dont think thats it..
and check engine light?

I never paid any attention to the check engine light, but isnt that always on when the car is starting? And i doubt running the 3.8 computer could cause this problem, or that the sniper tunning would effect it this much but then again i also thought the car would start today.

I was thinking this was a timming issue or possibly even something to do with using the 3.8 coil pack

you need to reset your Cam shaft and crank shaft positioning sensors... reseting both of these and making sure that they are timed right will help you get it started...

is the popping like a back fire pop? cause if so its timing... due to CMS and CPS

When you installed the snychro, did you use the tool to make sure its installed in the right position?

Check your plug wires, make sure that you have them in the right order.

make sure the timing is correct.. (cps, and whatnot) also, my screamin demon coil pack f'd me in the a a few times, the wires are no where near what the y should be as far as the books say, they're all over the place. also, popping as in backfiring? not starting at all? turning over atleast? my next thought is vacuum leak... i had one and the car hardly turned over. just my thoughts though.

The timming is correct except i dont know about the cam position senor. Like i said before it was taken out of an engine not at tdc and put in at tdc, I do not know what must be done to correct time the cam position sensor. And the poping was if it was trying to start, but it did not start at all. I have triple checked all the vaccum lines so i highly doubt that could be the problem/

How do you have the plug wires done. And you really need to get hold of the cam sync tool. You can usually buy them for about $30.

too bad you dont live near me, i could pass one on to you for nothing. take carb and choke crap and spray around all your gaskets (to make sure) my car did the same thing when it had a vac leak... i thought the ssms heads and intakes were good, but i had to have them shaved because they were off a bit... then i was told, remove those damn medal spacers in the gaskets, they held the lower intake away from the heads.... no more spacres and the car runs perfectly!
