You just use your wiring harness and computer. Save yourself the headaches with the swap, yours will run just fine.

Theres not an option here. Im doing a custom car. Im taking the 3.8l and auto tranny out and putting in a 5.7l v8 with a 6 speed. Its not a ford engine going in. Im building it and almost have it finished. I just need to know if the harness from the 3.8l can be seperated while keeping everything from the chasis intact.

Im going to cut it out then ground anything on the chasis that shared a ground with the engine. Then ill run current through the rest of the harness to see if everything else works alright. Does that sound like it would work?
