im in some trouble

so me and my dad took apart the gauge cluster. i was gonna put on a carbon fiber cover thing. but thats beside the point. with everything disconnected, we decided to wait to figure more things out tomorrow. now, in the meantime, i tried starting my car, it started up, then died. now it wont start. what can be wrong. right now i just disconnected the battery wires to hopefully reset the computer in it. might work, dunno, thats my best guess. but can someone help? i need to get to work tomorrow. whats everyone think?

ha! i had the same damn thing happen to mine, u have to have the cluster connected to the plugs for the alternater to run and stuff to charge the battery... really weird i know. i drove it to school w/o the cluster and on the way home it started sputtering and the battery was complely dead... that should fix it.

the carbon fiber sticker thing just goes over the clear piece, its not meant to go on the inside. the clear and black piece dont separate

Solution

i know this is a little late but i had thee identical problem you had. What i did was take goo gone and pour it around the permeiter of where the clear lens was glued to the black housing piece then slowy pryed it away using a very slim screw driver, this took several hours but i think it was well worth the time.
