throttle body spacer

OK, I was told today by a local shop that the Air Raid Throttle body spacer would add 10 hp to my can with its current mods (exhaust and FIPK).

From what Ive seen and read, that sounds like bullshi*.

What kind of gain can really be anticipated? With the "rifled" design, will it make a difference in the sound during acceleration????

This is whats nuts. I told you that he told me 10. The reason I said 10 is because what he did tell me was so insane I was embarassed to write it. He told me it would add 30-40 horse. I swear on my grave.

Needless to say, I will not ever buy shit from them. Either he was stupid as hell or a liar. Either way, those are not good qualities of a mechanic.

The only reason I stopped in there was to get a quote on a tranny flush and fill.... which by the way was $149 there. $149 is way out of line with the other prices around here. I found Midas (which usually is one of the highest priced places) has the tranny service (new fluid, seal and filter+ they use a machine to flush everything out) for $89. Thats pretty good. I still may do it myself.

Speaking of mods, do you think those Moto Blue wires at RPM will really add 8 hp? For $79, thats a quick little gain. What do you think????

I think motoblue wires should not touch your car -
