Gas Effecting Shifting

I dont know if anyone else has noticed this or if my car is messed up. I have noticed that the fuller my gas tank is the smoother my shifting. I notice a big difference right after i fill up.

actually I had noticed that my car ran a little bit smoother with a full tank. It didn't shift smoother it just ran smoother. I replaced the fuel filter, and put a fuel system cleaner in. Now the car runs the same no matter how much gas I have. However, it is better for your car to run with at least 1/2 a tank or more. This prevents deposits in your tank from getting into the engine. In terms of shifting smoother...well maybe you should flush your transmission. I don't see why the amount of gas should effect your shifting. I'm guessing that you have an automatic. Just a few things to think about. You could take it to a mechanic and have them look at your tranny and your fuel system. However, the other option is to keep your tank full, and hope that it keeps working.

hmm.. maybe the weight of the gas is planting your rear end better and you think your car is shifting better?
