where i believe mustang Gt's are all true duals they never run into one pipe
they are true duals but the exhaust flows do cross paths at the h-pipe

I have a '99 v6 stang, stock performance mods, except aftermarket intake. IF I got the dual exhaust setup bolt-on AFTER the y-pipe, "in my opinion," that would not be called TRUE DUAL exhaust. In my belief, TRUE dual exhaust is straight pipes after the cats.

...I am debating on getting either

1) Custom Pinched 2.5inch Piping of True Duals (straight pipes*no y, x, or h pipe) with a pair of "turbo" mufflers. Total cost = $290 from a shop --would u recommend me get a different set of mufflers? if so, which ones would fit for sure?

2) Keep stock y-pipe, and bolt on Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Street-Pro Catback w/ Polished 304 Tips for Factory Mid-Pipe (96-04 V6) from AmericanmuscleDOTcom. Total cost = $360 and I install myself

...but I am unsure of which would be better.
