if you get a tuner like an XcalII or something it raises your shift points to 6250 and doesnt let it self slip in shifts when the car is floored and OD is off in addition to remapping your ecu for 93 octane
Atlanticblue99 or anouther v6 guy will tell you what to get and where btw, from a 3rd party perspactive it makes a world of difference in acceleration, also, once you get that and you thirst for more put 4.10's and a t-lok in your rear plus full exaust and your car will run high 14's, again the v6 guys should tell you whats what and where to get it also, if you want to do dougnuts remove your front sway bar, and 5spds are better in my opinion, but Nothing beats the consistency of a well tuned auto

there is more to a shift kit that just raising the shift points. Look at the transgo kits as they seem to work the best for performance usage. If it's a daily driver and reliability is what is wanted, look into the Superior or Dr. NoYoYo kits. Every trans I build at home gets one of the 3 depending on what the application is.

a shift kit or jmodded tranny that is tuned for firm shifts is a good way to have a powerful and consistant auto. you won't break the 4r70w tranny without over 700 ft-lbs tq
