Getting a clicking noise when i get on the gas

I was driving my car around town today and it started making a suttle clicking noise whenever i'd get on the gas. It didnt do it everytime but most of the time it was. I was told that my solnoid (whatever the hell that is) may have something wrong with it. They said it might also have something to do with why my car has such a hard time starting. Any ideas?

does it get louder at full throttle or is it always the same?

I'm not really sure cause i havent been able to get it to full throttle. It seems to get a bit faster a maybe a lil louder as i get on the gas a little more but that could just be in my mind

my car had a hard time starting too.... Fixed, bad battery.

That would make sense considering my pipes look like they are rusted and we have a country drive way that likes to scrap my bottom alot -_-

yeah country driveway... you gotta love alabama tho lol. i hear a click in mine to but its inconsistint coming from the motor. def not a exhaust leak

sounds like exahust leak my 01 v6 does the exact same thing , like a subtle clicking noise, my mechanic said its a tiny holein the manifold

yup id have to agree with everyone its an exhaust leak...i took off my exhaust manifolds and took them to my friend he welded all the wayaround the flange and no more exhaust leak

i have this to its a header leak on my passenger side and the drivers is leaking a tiny bit

and i'm with every1 its an exhaust leak

and my passenger side lol the exhaust can be stolen by any1 with just their bare hands... the weldings opened bcuz water hits em (thank u a/c water and puddles)

i get that too . when i hit the gas it makes a click and goes away . it happens every time i press the gas. i thought it was suppose to do that?

that idk...

i know since i'm manual every time i press the clutch it will click.. its an adjustment thin or something..

but i dont know if ur supposed to have that click

im not sure if its a click . but it does make a sound for a second real quick then when i reach like 1.5rpm it goes away

if it isn't exhaust its a rocker... check your oil too... to make sure its not all icky coloured and shit

i just got my first oil change like a month ago . i only have 3200 miles on it . i thought it was normal cause my friends car does it too . but no im worried.
