1996 V6 Lights problem

Hey

I've owned a 96 V6 for a while, but three or four months ago, the lights started to dim down... it gets pretty annoying to drive at night, because the lights are so low.

I tried changing the plastic headlights (which were getting yellow) for new plastic headlights, also tried changing the lightbulbs for new lightbulbs (bought the most "expensive" ones at Autozone), and to no avail...

Is there any other possible solution to get my bright lights back without having to buy an HID kit? I.e. some fuse or relay that needs to be changed or something... (I don't have a fuse box nor power distribution diagram for this car)

Thank you very much.

you might want to check your ground wires for them as well as the voltage on you battery over all... to me it sounds like a wiring problem...

also check all the connections near there... and make sure your battery is all good

They are dim.. I also tried using something called an "intensifier" (sp?).. it's supposed to have a fuse inside and it's bridged between the power center, the battery, and the headlights, did increase the light power a bit, but still I have to drive with long distance headlights all time at night because other cars won't notice the car driving by.

I'm thinking if it would be entirely necessary to go to a shop and have someone pro take a look at that. I can't do much without the owner's guide.
