engine drop-in

i have heard people say that a chevy 350 or the old ford 302 is a good drop in for later mustangs, i have a 2001 ford mustang, 3.8L and i want to drop one of them in but im not sure which one actually will go in nice and even or not.

Any ideas?

Drop a 03 Cobra motor in it

go for the termi motor.. but dropping in a v8 will be pricey. you wouldnt jsut pay for the v8, but the tranny to match it (if yours doesnt), new rear end (youll need the 8.8) computer, wiring harness, etc. it would be more efficient money wise to just buy a v8 stang

whats better to do with my mustang then for more power besides dropping in a new engine? turbo it?

drop in a built v6 and turbo it you'll have plenty of power

and if you are going to go with a power adder (engine rebuild or new v6) make sure you have forged internals... they are always a good thing to have when gettin high hp.. dont want to blow anything

You put a 350 into your Ford I will hunt you down and castrate you.

I always say beef up the six and then put a power adder on it of your choice. Now if you really want to go with a V8, the cheapest thing to do is drop in a carbed engine.

or the stroker 383
and have an all motor ball. or throw some nitrous on her

anyone have any good links then for a rebuild kits for v6 engine and turbo or super kits?
might be a stupid question but power adders are stuff like CAI and performance chips right?

Try superchargers and turbos. I have friend selling this T-trim vortech with wath/meth for $2500.

turbos arent availible you'll need a shop to custom fab one

only s/c kit i recommend for well people who wont know wat to get on their own is the kit at

www.vmptuning.com

if you cant find the kit on the site...then well you have issues
