KB or Whipple on a split port?

Yes you can do it now! I asked Tom from SSMS about this and the adapter they are now selling for the 3.8 split-ports can for the M112, KB, Whipple or old school carbed blower. For all of you 6ers out there (like myself) who want a good ole twin screw SC you can now get one. I know what im saving my money up for now! Oh yeah.. and if you have the single port v6 (like mine) you can get the split port upgrade from SSMS for $800. It may take me forever to save up, but i will have a Twin Screw v6 stang!!! (ill accept donations )

Your gonna want 100% bulletproof -

Forged Pistons & Rods
Hardened Push rods
May as well go with better Rockers & springs

With the KB/Whipple Might as well get p&p heads & a cam

What do you consider a decent cam? I'm talking 216/224 at least.

But Mod Engines are junk, just ask all the Cobra guys who get left buy pushrod LSx motors

In all seriousness the reason its so high is because everything has to be custom made. Nobody makes lower/higher comp pistons for our cars, cams are custom grinds, etc, etc.

What springs & lifers do you have?
Who ported your heads? What valves are you using?

lol...Your funny...

You dont have to have custom pistons for V6...Rods and cams yeah I am sure they have to be custom...It just seems like that is a bloated price for a built engine (for a street car)...

If he wants to go with a KB or whipple more power to the guy...Rome was not built one night...Some people would say the same for anyone that goes supercharged or turboed...

He could easily get a 8.8 out of a junk yard and rebuild it for under $500 easily...Get a T-5 and rebuild it with a world-class set-up...Rebuild the engine yourself...You can find used KB 1.7's all over the place because of the 2.1 big bore kit that is now KB's base kit...Or buy a used KB 2.1 big bore...

Theres alot of options out there...

i was thinkin about gettin the engine from precision and since its not forged, just either have them put forged in the engine for more or do it myself, get a custom gring cam then the adapter and SC. of course the rear end as well, but that will be before i throw on the SC. my tranny is auto also

Really, find me some. (Forged not hyperpathetic)

And I'm thinking he would need a 2.6L at least, or an old 2.2L kit from a cobra.

Get me the demisions that you need for it and I will go to summit or jegs and find a set...The rods prolly would be a custom set-up...

This is just like when people said the M112 could not go on a V6...Someone did it...The Novi will not go on a V6...Someone did it...Someone has to be the first to do something new...

I personally would not see the 2.6 being that great for DD on a 6er...But he has not said if it will be a DD or not...Also just so you know the 2.6 is not the big blower anymore...The 2.8H is the beast....

I don't see how this compares to somebody saying something can't be done? Nobody said that, somebody is already doing the KB thing on the 6.... And I said 2.6 because I didn't figure he would want to go as big as the 2.8L
