shorty and long tube headers

i already have a set of shorty headers but im just wondering why alot of people in here tell people to get long tubes. ive been told by a few people that there are no significant differences in hp or torque between them.

im aware of that, however you can have hi-flow cats and shorty headers, but shorties really do nothing so may as well stick with the stock ones
